The 6 Jo Kata – basic

The 6th jo kata performed with a partner. Jason Austad and Alex Duarte from ASF.

Basic form is
1 – tsuki
2 – raise and block, stepping offline
3 – yokomen strike
4 – prepare for gaedan gaishi
5 – gaedan gaishi (low sweeping strike)
6 – rotate jo and return to starting stance
